The short version

Who we are

Revvie is made by Nellie Connect Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17029298. Our registered office is 5th Floor, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.

We decide how Revvie uses your information, so we are its controller under UK data protection law. You can reach us at revvieapp@nellieconnect.com.

Revvie is in a private pilot. Only families we have invited can use it. If a school provides Revvie in future, it will tell its pupils and parents who is responsible for their information.

Technical details

We don’t ask for, and don’t need, health information or any other sensitive information.

The evening school check

Some families choose to let Revvie keep up with new class posts. If they do, a check runs each evening on the family’s own computer, signed in with the pupil’s own school login. It reads new posts and documents in the pupil’s Google Classroom, Google Drive and school portal, and saves short summaries in Revvie so the plan can change.

It uses Claude, by Anthropic, to read the pages. It never changes, sends or posts anything at school. The family can turn it off at any time.

Signing in with Google

When you sign in with Google, Revvie receives your name, email address and profile picture. It uses them only to sign you in and to show who’s signed in. Signing in doesn’t give Revvie access to your Gmail, Drive, Classroom or any other Google information, and we never share what Google sends us.

Revvie’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use it

We don’t use your information for advertising or marketing, we don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to build a profile of you for anything else.

Revvie’s plan and marking are made automatically. They are suggestions to help with revision, not official decisions, and the pupil and parents can change the plan at any time.

Our lawful basis for using your information is providing Revvie to the family who asked for it. Keeping Revvie secure and working well is in our legitimate interests.

Who else handles it

We use a few trusted providers to run Revvie. They only use your information to provide their service to us.

Netlify, Anthropic, Resend and Google are based in the US, so some information may be handled outside the UK. When it is, it’s protected by safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

What stays on your device

Revvie saves a copy of your plan and work on your device so it still works without a connection. Ask Revvie conversations are kept on your device only. Signing out removes the saved copy from that device.

Revvie also saves your sign-in and settings on your device so it can work. It uses no advertising or tracking cookies. This website sets no cookies at all and loads nothing from other sites.

How long we keep it

We keep a pupil’s information while they use Revvie. When the family asks us to close the account, we delete it within 30 days. Server logs are kept by our providers for a short time and then deleted.

Keeping it safe

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, or object to how we use it. Pupils can ask for themselves, and parents can ask on their child’s behalf. Email revvieapp@nellieconnect.com and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If anything here changes, we’ll update this notice and tell families in Revvie.
